About me.

My passion for painting began when I was very young. I remember being inspired to draw by my 4th grade art teacher Mrs. Hergatt. When I was in 10th grade I took art classes outside of school with Mrs Lord. I was the youngest in the class and I loved going to her house. She had various still lifes set up and we could pick out the ones we liked and then she showed us how to paint. I learned to paint with oil paints. I would draw the still life out, then paint it in black and white acrylic paint, then would paint over it in oils.

I love details and am always making sure I paint every little detail possible. I prefer mostly to work with acrylic paints now. After I'm done painting I use a gloss varnish to deepen the colors as well as to protect the painting. I love to create people's memories of a place, animal or thing that means a lot to them. I love using my God given talent to bless others so they can have their cherished memories on a painting to hold and to behold anytime they wish!
